When River Stopped Singing To Cloud
When Awoowe (Grandpa) lands in Minnesota as a refugee, his culture shock begins in the bathroom. So much water in the bathtub! Through his vivid storytelling, Awoowe takes his son and grandson Mahad on a cross-continental journey to the village of his childhood. There, one night, after a long dry season, he confronts River under the moonlit sky. Can he save his village?
Awoowe entertains and enlightens his family in his new home as he shares the importance of caring for nature’s most precious gift. When we take care of the water, Mahad discovers, we take care of each other too.
